Memories Awoken

In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the Memories Awoken mission takes you on an adventure to uncover ancient civilizations and upgrade the powerful spear. Follow this guide to successfully complete the mission and progress through the game.

Step 1: Meet Herodotos at Thermopylai

• Travel to Thermopylai in Malis near the eastern ocean.
• Look for a cluster of columns and a massive lion statue.
• Watch the cutscene with Herodotos, where he explains the history of Thermopylai and the significance of the spear.
• Witness a flashback to Leonidas.
• Herodotos mentions an ancient civilization and strange shapes on the islands of Andros.

Step 2: Sail to Andros

• Navigate your ship to the southwestern part of the map where Andros is located.
• Call upon Ikaros, your trusty eagle companion, to scout the island for you.
• Follow the path until you reach a large door that appears out-of-place in ancient Greece.

Step 3: Interact with the Door

• Approach the door and interact with it.
• Experience a flashback as the spear opens the door.
• Proceed down the path until you find a structure with a space for the spear.
• Interact with the structure to upgrade the spear. This is the first upgrade, and you’ll return here for subsequent upgrades as well.

Step 4: Return to the Present

• The screen will go black, and you’ll return to the present day.
• Watch a cutscene and have a conversation with Victoria.
• Take control of Layla, the modern-day protagonist, to catch up on the situation and context.
• Read Layla’s emails and explore the room for Easter eggs and references.
• When ready, interact with the animus to return to Greece.

Step 5: Confront Your Sibling

• Back in Greece, a cutscene will play where your character confronts their sibling.
• If you are playing as Kassandra, the sibling will be Alexios, and vice versa.
• Choose your dialogue options to be combative or urge to keep the family together.

Step 6: Wrap Up with Deimos

• Once the situation with your sibling, known as Deimos, is resolved, head back to the Adestria.
• Speak with Herodotos and have a short conversation with him.
• The mission will be complete.
