So It Begins

In the So It Begins mission, your objective is to head to Markos’s vineyard and gather information from him. Follow the steps below to successfully complete this mission.

Step 1: Battle the Thugs

• After the cutscene, engage in a quick and simple battle with the thugs. Follow the on-screen prompts to defeat them.

Step 2: Make Player Choices

• During the cutscene, make your choices. The first choice seems to have no long-term consequences, but the second set of choices will provide more context for the next quest. Choose I’ll go find him to move the story forward. After this point, some choices will affect the story. In this moment, choose to either threaten or kill the thugs.

Step 3: Collect Gear

• Once the battle with the thugs is over, head upstairs in the building in front of you to collect your gear. Use the stairs to the left of the building or climb the entire way to reach the top.

Step 4: Head to Markos’s Vineyard

• Equip your gear and follow the path with the bridge. Take a left at the first fork and continue along the road. If you spared the thugs, enemies will appear here, including an archer behind a small building on the left. Defeat the archer and loot the bodies for drachma. Inside the shed, you can find additional loot.

Step 5: Call Ikaros and Locate the Objective

• Summon your eagle, Ikaros, and use him to find the objective. Head left and climb up the cliff towards a building. Ikaros’s sensor circle will decrease as it gets closer to the target. Keep following the path until you reach another fork and go left. Continue up the mountain and take one final left at the fork.

Step 6: Converse with Markos

• Once you reach Markos’s location, engage in a conversation with him. There will be several choices to make, but on the third round, choose to gather information with the other two options and progress the story by selecting I want my drachmae.

Step 7: Choose Your Horse and End the Quest

• Select your preferred horse skin (this is just a cosmetic option) and watch a short cutscene. The quest will come to an end, and you can proceed to the next mission.
