The Big Break

Embark on a thrilling mission to defeat The Cyclops and secure a ship capable of navigating the open ocean. In this guide, we will walk you through each step of The Big Break mission in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Step 1: Reach the Docks in Sami

• Head to Sami and make your way to the docks. Look for a man named Telemenes, who is building a ship. Speak to him to initiate a conversation. Telemenes demands a fair price for his ship, even suggesting obsidian as payment. However, he reveals that The Cyclops and his ship are currently in town.

Step 2: Head South to Kleptous Bay

• Leave Sami and head south towards the abandoned house. Follow the path further south, avoiding the route leading up to Shepherds Hill, a historical location. Instead, continue past the Star Observatory and proceed towards Kleptous Bay.

Step 3: Battle The Cyclops and his Men

• Upon arrival, a cutscene will play, showcasing The Cyclops torturing an individual who dared to call him a Cyclops. After the cutscene, engage in a battle against The Cyclops and his crew. The Cyclops is a formidable opponent, so be sure to dodge his attacks while utilizing your abilities and quick strikes. Beware of archers armed with poison arrows.

Step 4: Complete Location Objectives (Optional)

• If you wish, you can explore the area and complete any remaining objectives before proceeding. Alternatively, you can move on to the next step to wrap up the quest.

Step 5: Free the Captain and Follow Barnabas

• Head back to the pain plaza where The Cyclops was defeated. Free the captive captain and accompany him to a nearby cliff. At this point, Barnabas will reveal his true identity and offer to join as a shipmate along with his crew. Accept his offer for assistance in your future endeavors. Afterward, return to the docks in Sami.

Step 6: Bid Farewell and Confront Your Past

• A cutscene will play, bidding farewell to Markos and Phoibe. The scene will uncover more about your past and your connection to The Wolf. Once the cutscene concludes, the quest will come to an end.
