Step 1: Reach the Objective Marker

• As you begin the mission, you’ll find yourself on the shores of Grantebridgescire with your Viking longship nearby. Exit the boat and head toward the objective marker, located roughly 80 meters inland. Prepare yourself for the approach as this marker will guide you to your next series of actions.

Step 2: Destroy the Naval Chain

• To disrupt the naval chain blocking your path, stealth is key. Approach the small enemy camp with caution and find the tree that leads up to the camp’s tower. Ascend the tree and climb to the tower, where you’ll encounter an enemy. Take this opportunity to assassinate the guard silently. With the lookout neutralized, focus on eliminating the remaining six foes at the camp using your bow or another preferred method. Within the building in this camp, uncover a chest holding 100 supplies and some silver—don’t forget to loot it. Next, climb the ladder inside to a vantage point above, where you’ll see two targets marking the naval chain’s mechanism. Take aim with your bow and shoot these targets to break the chain, paving the way for your ship to pass.

Step 3: Reach Halfdan’s Settlement

• Make your way back to the longship. Upon boarding, a cutscene will unfold, initiating your journey towards Halfdan’s settlement. Upon arrival, you’re immediately engaged in combat with a group of Saxon enemies. Prioritize the melee attackers first, then shift your focus to the archers. With the enemy forces defeated, it’s time to investigate the area for any remaining scavengers.

Step 4: Explore the Longhouse

• Head up the hill to the nearby longhouse—a large, unmistakeable building. Inside, you’ll find two stragglers waiting for you. Deal with them as you see fit, and watch the following cutscene where it is revealed that this small encampment will serve as your new base of operations. Pay close attention to Randvi’s words, as she will provide vital information about the settlement and the layout of the surrounding lands. The completion of this cutscene signifies the end of The Swan-Road Home quest.
