The Ripperdoc

This guide will help you navigate through the first mission of Act 1 in Cyberpunk 2077, called The Ripperdoc. It is recommended to complete this mission first before exploring further. In this mission, V wakes up with some health issues and decides to visit the Ripperdoc for assistance. Along the way, you will also encounter side quests and optional exploration opportunities.

Step 1: Exit your apartment

• Upon waking up, leave your apartment and receive a call from Regina Jones, a woman offering work in Watson. Make a note to follow up on this later.

Step 2: Sell your junk

• As you exit, you’ll notice a Drop Point on your left where you can sell all your collected junk. Press the Sell All Junk prompt in the bottom right corner to quickly get rid of unwanted items.

Step 3: Get your first iconic weapon for free

• You can follow the waypoint to the lower level and take the elevator, but feel free to explore your apartment floors. Notable exploration opportunities include a fighting tournament with Coach Fred and a side quest at The 2nd Amendment, a gun shop right across from the elevator. At the gun shop, talk to the vendor and find the Uncommon/Iconic weapon called Dying Night. It’s marked with a red exclamation point and is completely free.

Step 4: Meet with Jackie

• Take the elevator down to the food court area where Jackie is waiting at a stall near the road. Sit down with him and listen to his conversation about a new job with the legendary Fixer, Dex. Jackie has gotten your car fixed, and you’re both ready to head to the Ripperdoc. Call your car and follow the map’s directions to reach the Ripperdoc’s establishment.

Step 5: Park and walk to the Ripperdoc

• Once you arrive at the blue waypoint on the map, park your car and continue on foot. Be cautious as there are many civilians in this area. Take a left at the crossing area and walk towards the waypoint, leading you to Misty’s Esoterica.

Step 6: Visit Viktor the Ripperdoc

• Misty will inform you that Viktor is ready to see you. Walk through Misty’s shop and into the alley. Descend the stairs and enter Viktor’s shop. Have a conversation with him about your issues and ask questions about Dex if you’re interested. Additionally, you can loot Viktor’s shop for a rare Cyberware mod located near the desk.

Step 7: Choose your cyberware

• When prompted, take a seat and browse through the Cyberware menu. Choose the Ocular System to acquire the Kiroshi Optics MK.1 and the Ballistic Coprocessor in Hands. If you have enough money, consider purchasing the Titanium Bones in Skeleton or the Microgenerator in the Circulatory System menu. You can sell items to Viktor if you’re short on credits.

Step 8: Complete the procedure

• After choosing your cyberware, close the menu and continue the conversation with Viktor. He will explain more about your new scanner and ask you to put your arm down. Follow the dialogue and Viktor will proceed with the procedure.

Step 9: Gain new abilities and access

• Once the procedure is finished, V will wake up with new optics and access to the NCPD file search. You now have the ability to scan people and objects in Night City, which may lead to rewards if you find someone on the wanted list. Viktor will provide you with some medicine for post-surgery recovery.

Step 10: Exit the Ripperdoc and continue your journey

• Head out of Viktor’s shop, go up the stairs, and you’ll see a cat that V can pet. After interacting with the cat, you can proceed to the next mission called The Ride.
